Google Talk Redux

It appear that maybe I was wrong about Google Talk after all. According to this site Michael Robertson (or MP3.com Fame) has indicated that Google Talk will play nice with other networks after all. Hooray, Hooray!

Now I’m interested in seeing how available they make the API the VOIP aspect of the system. Certainly this is going to start to spell trouble for Skype, but I wonder what it’s going to do VOIPcoms like Vonage?
