Tonight I attended DemoCamp, which was an offshoot of TorCamp and provided an outlet for developers to “demo” what they have been working on. It was a BarCamp inspired event, with limited (no) structure and was remarkably civil considering.
The demonstrations included:
BubbleShare, an outstanding photo sharing site which frankly has one of the nicer interfaces I’ve seen on such a service. BubbleShare is by the way, looking for smart people. I don’t know off hand who to get in touch with, but if your interested and can’t figure it out, your probably not qualified anyway.
R|Mail A free service that lets users has RSS feed updates delivered to them via email.
Eh List? which can feed you with valuble information about how known you site is on the web, or in the case of this site, how ridiculously unaware the web is of your site. Note to self… time to do something about that.
AmbientCircle which looks like it could actually make finding information via a phone based interface something other than the joke I’ve experienced it to be.
drownedinsound.com which provide reviews of music and let’s you rank artists to help you discover new artists you might be interested in.
All in all the whole night was a pleasure and I’m looking forward to the next ***Camp event, whenever that may be.
