Toronto’s Best Indie Hamburger?

Can blogging sell a hamburger? It sold one to me.

When dinner time rolled around tonight, I decided to run out for a bite to eat. Luckily for me, andDangerous Dan’s Diner I had taken a peek at BlogTO’s ”
Best of Indie Toronto” in-progress results.

With their dominating 10% lead (which amounted to 5 more votes) over every other indie burger, I figured I could do worse, so I hiked down to Queen and Broadview for some grub. It was a good burger, I would have preferred a little less bun, but I liked it. I’m sure I’ll find my way back for another some other time.

It will be interesting to see if the hold their lead as more vote come in, and I’m going to make a point to check out the others on the list and do my own comparison.

If you’re up for a bit more travel, check out both Johnny’s and Apache. Johnny’s is @ Sheppard & Vic Park and Apache is out near Dundas and Bloor (the end of the subway line, just up the hill).

I’ll have to check them out.

There is a certain style of hamburger that I’m quite fond of. I’ve had similar tasting burgers at the Lions Tap in Minnesota, and my all time favorite, Travis Hamburgers, which own a number of locations around the Detroit area.

If I can find a place with a similar slab of beef, I’ll travel as far as I need to for it.
